Series: Darkwing Duck
Character: Morgana McCawber
Timeline: After Ghoul Of My Dreams
Personality: Morgana knows the difference between right and wrong and willfully chooses wrong because she sees the profit in it. However this isn’t to say she herself is wrong and evil. Her two biggest plans were only theft and in both schemes she never wanted to hurt anybody. She only wants money and her greed won’t allow her to see differently – in that there are better ways to pay off her debt. Unfortunately this greed also blinds her to the people she works with – she doesn’t realize she’s being played for a fool or is in danger until it’s too late. It’s also an issue of pride as she thinks she can more clever and smarter than those she works with.

She can also be very sweet, as she has a huge soft spot for little creatures and children. Being treated as a ‘monster’ for most of her life she feels she can never fit into normal society. So when Darkwing not only treats her as normal but obviously falls for her, it seriously affects her judgment. He has started to change her viewpoint and weaken her greed and pride. Now that she’s found acceptance, it may be time for her to turn over a new leaf. During her stay in 3Step, it’ll be a fight of greed versus love within her, so she will definitely be causing some trouble before Darkwing finally wins her over.

Background: Morgana was raised only by her father in a dark and creepy castle with dark and creepy relatives. What normal people would see as scary and unnatural, to her it was her normal life – such as gross food, pet spiders, and magic. Their family was at constant war with ‘Normals’, regular mortals who thought of Morgana’s family as evil monsters. Because of this, Morgana believed she could never fit in with Normals and her heart was closed off to them. She was incredibly successful in school, and her magic was top-notch, but she found herself longing for more than the cobwebs of home. Student loans and her own greed made her venture out into the world of Normals – her prejudice made her believe she could easily fleece them.

Her first scheme involved a few unscrupulous members of the family, and together they robbed St. Canard of pizza toppings so they could dominate the pizza market. However she never would have guessed her robberies would be foiled by a ‘Normal’ wearing a mask and carrying a gas gun. Thusly she met Darkwing Duck, the self-proclaimed hero of St. Canard, who had jumped onto the mystery. It was obvious he fell for her beauty at once and she easily took advantage of this to try and lead him off the track. But this was a double edged sword, and she found him very endearing – here was a Normal who didn’t think of her as a monster and actually found her interesting, not creepy. The seeds of love were dug!

He eventually connected the dots and tried to stop her, but when Morgana realized her business associates were ready to kill the hero and his sidekick, she knew she couldn’t go through with it. She betrayed her comrades and freed her love interest despite knowing the dangerous risks. But she didn’t become a good girl overnight – she fled the scene before Darkwing could take her to jail. For her next attempt, she allied herself with Nodoff, the ruler of Dream World. He would lend her sleep sand, she would cast it over the citizens of St. Canard, and while Nodoff messed with their dreams, the victims would sleepwalk and hand over their money. Alas, the crimes were so bizarre that Darkwing figured it belonged to Morgana almost instantly.

In fact, Morgana had accidentally led him there in more ways than one. She had dabbled in Darkwing’s dreams – a fact she accidently slipped when they met again – and demanded that Nodoff not hurt her beloved or else. Once more she used her alluring beauty to distract Darkwing, but once more Darkwing could only be put off for so long before trying to stop her villainous ways. However it was Nodoff who put an end to the crime spree as he trapped Morgana in Dream World, and revealed his true intention was to take over St. Canard. It was also in Dream World that showed Morgana’s ultimate happiness now would be… being Darkwing’s bride. Oops indeed.

Though she was heavily tempted to side with Nodoff, she ultimately worked with Darkwing to defeat the real monster. She still fled before being arrested, and that’s where our unusual beauty steps into the strange paradise of 3Step.

Abilities/Additional Notes: Morgana has magic. It includes –
+ Summoning lightning storms
+ Teleportation
+ Undoing locks/chains
+ Speaking with animals
+ Shapeshifting others. Since this can be an easily abused godmod ability, I will only have her use this under the most extenuating of circumstances and upon permission from others.
She’s also a fabulous cook (her food looks bad but tastes wonderful), and knows how to fly a hot air balloon.

Companion’s Personality: Eek and Squeak are Morgana’s bats, and Archie is her spider. They probably will never make full posts on their own, as they are loyal to Morgana and only do what she tells them. Eek and Squeak do as they are told without complaint and adore their mistress with all their heart. They can get very emotional too, such as when they started crying when they thought she might be getting married. Archie on the other eight hands is bit of a grump. He is always ‘complaining’, in his spider lingo but he’ll still do what’s told of him. Sometimes he’ll act without orders, but this is only when he believes his mistress is in danger. Otherwise he’ll comply with her commands – even if he doesn’t wholly agree with them. He does NOT like Darkwing at all.

If Morgana shows affection to anybody, the trio will find themselves liking this person as well. (Though Archie won’t admit it.) For example, when Morgana and Gosalyn were getting along, they were quick to obey Gosalyn’s orders and help her out with her ‘well meaning’ tricks.
Companion’s Abilities/Additional Notes: Eek and Squeak have been trained to carry very heavy objects despite their very small sizes. From simple things like books to nets full of money and stolen items, they can lift things hundreds of times their sizes just by their feet, and still fly fairly fast when doing so. Archie can spin a web that’s very thick and though – his web easily caught falling safe without a single strand.

Companion’s Sample Journal Post:

[there’s garbled text up first, as if whoever – whatever – is using this has never worked with such a device before. Then they get the hang of it, especially with a third creature helping.]
